Nishkraman (First Outdoor Visit)
For mental and spiritual protection of the expectant mother.
Nishkraman Sanskar (First Outdoor Visit) is the sixth of the sixteen samskaras in Hindu tradition. It marks the moment when a newborn is taken outside the home for the first time, usually around the fourth month after birth. This ritual is a sacred way to introduce the child to the outer world—sunlight, nature, and society—with blessings and protection.
