Simantonayan (Baby Shower)
For mental and spiritual protection of the expectant mother.
Simantonayan Sanskar (Baby Shower) is the third of the sixteen samskaras (sacred rites) in Hindu tradition. It is typically performed in the seventh or eighth month of pregnancy, at a time when the baby is nearing birth and the mother needs mental, emotional, and spiritual support the most. The ritual is meant to protect the mother and child, ease her mind, and prepare the family to welcome the new life with positivity and devotion.
