Naming - Sadguru Shri Riteshwar ji Gurukulam

Namkaran (Naming)

The sacred naming of the child with Vedic chants.

Namkaran Sanskar (Naming Ceremony) is the fifth of the sixteen samskaras in Hindu tradition. It marks the formal naming of a child, typically performed on the 11th, 12th, or 21st day after birth, or sometimes after the first month. The ceremony is performed with Vedic chants, blessings, and family rituals to give the child an identity that resonates with spiritual and cultural values.
